Rode my bicycle into the city and made a little event out of it (part 1/2)

Ten hour days are nice. They make for a 3 day weekend every week. So I rode my bicycle into the city as I often do. This time around, I had a bunch of ideas I wanted to check out (some not pictured). Here's a look at my ventures around the city. More to come.

Started out at sunrise with this abandoned train bridge (functional tracks in the background). I wanted to checkout a nearby drain that I spotted a few years ago but never made it back. 1.

2.

I really wanted to go in. But it's definitely going to take 2 people to pull this up. 3.

I've been yearning for this one but I was denied for now. There are loft apartments within feet of the building and cameras everywhere. Right before sunrise may be the ticket to this one. 4.

Notice the trees growing on the roof. 5.

Denied. However, p.o.e. seems to be just about developed. One particular feature is nearly rusted all the way through. A couple more years or a swift kick... more research is also necessary. 6.

Denied due to neighborhood activity. But the construction on the backside looked inviting. Research needed here as well. 7.

Since I was passing by anyway, I had to stop at this old place. It's at least a little something to whet the appetite and a fun location when coming up short elsewhere. This time was especially fun however. This place was packed on this particular holiday weekend. I saw at least 8 other people walking around back there. I even ran into a dude that I used to serve about 3-4 years ago when I was working third shift at a Denny's 20 miles away. It was totally out of the blue. We hung out for a while and shared some great conversation. Some other guy had a model there with him. And they progressed into a very sexy photo shoot, paying us no mind at all. We ended up leaving them to work. As I was leaving, another group of teenage boys was walking back there. They couldn't have been more than 15. I laughed to myself as these youngsters were likely walking back to the first real life visible set of boobies! Right after they went in, the dude and the model jumped in a truck and dipped. It was indicative just how exposed this location has become and probably part of the reason why this city has torn down most of the really awesome spots. All in all, even though this place is so cashed and I've seen it so many times, this was one of the most fun and most memorable visits. It's pretty much a total free for all back there with almost zero risk of trouble during the day. 8.

The front building has been gone for some time now. I suspect the rest of it is coming down very soon as well. As you can see, you can just walk right up and in to this place nowadays. I'll be surprised if it's still there at the end of the summer 9.

Apparently someone had a creepy doll shoot recently. 13.

These stairs have long been gone. 15.

I was fairly surprised that this light bulb was still in tact. 19.

20.

21.

In one of my previous posts, some helpful uer dudes clued me in to how close I was to this drain. So I went back to look. 22.

Notice the seagulls on the shore. After a ways in, their screeches sounded like bloody murder. 23.

Immediately into the drain, it shot up at a 45 degree angle into the bluff. It doesn't look like it here but it was fairly steep. However, it was easier than I thought it would be. 24.

It felt like I went a good ways in. But after a while, the surface became full of condensation and it was super slick. I will return with better footwear and hope to explore its entirety. 25.

Album to be continued... 26.

Nice set. You really got around. #15 made me laugh, looks like they're trying to build some new stairs. Went to that place for my first time about a year or so ago, it's a shame it's completely trashed. I really like the last photo in the set. Great shot!

Yes, that last shot is super great, and #20 is just as awesome. Thanks for the mini-tour description on your photos, Chuck. It almost felt as if I were there too.

P.S. You get extra internet points if you close the set with a "Bonus Shots" segment for the bewbs.

Slowly but surely. Soon enough, it will be gone forever!

Thanks a bunch! Yea I kind of surprised myself with some of these photos. If you notice, on the stairs there are 3 boards so I think they would climb to the top 2, move the lowest one up, and so on and so forth all the way to the top.

Thank you very much as well! And you're very welcome. I like to know a little about the context of photos I look at so I figured doing the same with mine would make it more exciting. p.s. I didn't take any boobie shots, unfortunately. We left before they actually (probably) popped out. I may have gotten punched if I tried to make this bonus section.

It sure does. I wish I could have seen it in ALL it's glory.

Thanks a whole lot for the compliment!. I'm glad you liked the chair. I know everyone takes pictures of chairs. Therefore it seemed like the thing to do. But I haven't seen a camping chair shot yet. So, when I found it in there with the rug, I knew what I had to do. p.s. I wonder if anyone has noticed that I placed my beer in the cup holder.
