As much as I hated it, being dragged out of bed at 3am by damnband was worth it for this day trip. Fantastic buildings and beautiful spaces were seen. The beauty of these particularly spaces is the artifacts that still remain in them, echoes of a time when they were inhabited and important. To people these places were home, employment, a favorite store; and all we can do is document their remainders in an attempt to preserve their mark on one town's history.

Great shots. Love what you did with #33. #3 scared the shit outta me. Glad you got to see the two places that are about to get renovated.

Some of the best shots I've seen out of the tower, great job.

Good shots Ad Astra. I like the escalator shot in #28. Glad to see that the TV wall is still in place. Looks like you all hit a number of spots.

It's going to be sad to see this place go. Renovations start in a week. The guy in charge isn't letting anyone in anymore. Hope you can make it out to the next Birmingham no exit. It's gonna be a special one.

I always love seeing pics of these two landmarks just because everyone has a different take on them. Your shots are fantastic. Glad ya'll could get in and out safely.

Thanks to everyone! I really appreciate the feedback. Often it takes posting my photographs on this forum to know which shots are actually my best.

Well if that's what you're looking for then you can always try posting a couple, or perhaps some that you are on the fence about, in the photography critique section... Just be warned, there will be really nice people who offer suggestions that could help you (paragraphs upon paragraphs or simple one liners)... And there will be brutally honest people who's opinion may or may not actually be relevant and could catch you off guard haha. Usually more good than bad though. I'd say you did well capturing the rooms despite the super bright harsh light from the windows, although the images are a bit bright for my personal taste. But I still think they are some of the best I've seen from there. #2 is probably my personal favorite, great tones!

I just drooled a little. Astounding job on the photos!

Whoopsie daisies. At risk of exposing a double post, I might as well ask: has the elevator fallen yet? That shaft looked very empty.

I hadn't said anything but meant to. This is definitely a great selection. I particularly like cross-light that shows texture so 2, 4, 12, and 22 really come through as more striking to me. 40 has some great leading lines and patterns to draw you in.
