Come on man...our faults for assuming it's in the southeast when you posted in this forum? And if your respect is so easily swayed because of what I or anyone says on the internet then I must say you're not a man of conviction.

Also....this location is not in the southeast. I'd love to be proved wrong.

I specifically state I posted in the SE so that a few people would know I had posted the full thread elsewhere. I made no claim as to where it is located. People post in the SE all the time when they explore outside of the region designated as SE here on the forums... Do you go out of your way to call them out when they do so?

In addition, an assumption is the fault of the one doing the assuming.... An assumption is a thing that is accepted as true or as certain to happen, WITHOUT PROOF. I'm sorry that you assumed I was making a claim that it was in the SE and that you continue to assume that it is not given there is no evidence to support either claim.

And My respect is easily swayed when a person more or less demands for someone to provide location details when they themselves have called people out for asking for hand outs and encourage people to get out and explore. I don't believe it would be appropriate to call my "convictions" into question. I will not post evidence to where this is located, perhaps you should have asked me privately if I would share the location with you... Had you done so, I probably would have willingly offered to take you there.

If I wanted to know where it was, I would have asked those that have gone there before you as I've seen this place before.

I implore you to show me threads in this forum that are not SE located because none of them belong here, including yours.

I live in the SE, I shared something in the SE forum with people in the SE. I provided a link to a set so that people in the SE could see photos they had asked about. I also provided commentary on the image I shared as an open dialogue about the nature of exploring. I had hoped to spur healthy dialogue between explorers... Clearly that failed. My actions violate no rules or regulations of these forums. Links can be found at the bottom if you care to read the rules.

And I find it alarming that you know where this is, yet accuse me of posting a location that isn't even in the United States. If you know where it is, then why do you care? Further more, to demand proof of a locations region IS asking where it is. There is no way to provide proof of a region without doing so. If I wanted people to know what region it was in, I would have posted my set in the correct region rather than sharing in photography. Surely you can appreciate a desire not to advertise where this is given the fact that so many explorers show no discretion nor share the ethical standards in regards to vandalism and stealing.

This was posted last month and the first line states that it is in Nashville, which as you know is in the mid-Atlantic forum.

http://www.uer.ca/...=1&threadid=113847

I could go through and provide links to all the threads I've seen, but I don't see why I should take the time to do so... I have seen people in other regions post with a link to their sets in photography. I have also seen people post in their region about road trips they took out of region and no one cared. I have seen Once-ler post sets from Europe in the SE in order to share his trip with the rest of us. It is beyond me, as to why you have taken issue with my post.

There's a lot of typing going on in this thread.

Well it is in the SE forum so one must start with the presumption that the content lies therein.

Get your thread the fuck out of here.

I blame Canada. This artificial regional dispute was caused by allowing our aggressive enemies of the north to arbitrarily divide our nation into regions with no regard to history or common cultural identity. Never let an outside power determine the borders of your sovereign territories. Kurdistan is now split into pieces of Iraq, Turkey and Syria with tragic results. This act of northern aggression must not stand!

I claim this territory as the rightful property of the sovereign SE forum.

That should settle everything. ;)

That's fine and dandy... But he doesn't comment or pitch a fit when others post content from outside this region on our boards. So why should he care when I do? But since he doesn't even know where this place is, this whole thing is beyond pathetic and laughable.

It's actually quite sad to see people such as Nomeus and yourself (who I have always respected) coming down on another explorer over stupid shit rather than saying "job well done on an awesome explore and thanks for sharing this with us".

You forgot the part where I implored you to show me these threads that aren't SE and the part where I clearly said they don't belong here. You don't listen very well nor are you able to post in the proper forum. What's the matter...not enough attention for you in the UER photography forum and flickr? Fuck your recognition and praise.

While you are busy making unfounded accusations and claims... It would appear you are unable to read. I provided you with a link to the first example I found an explanation. And Considering I don't do this for recognition or praise, nor do I do it for attention, PLEASE KINDLY LEAVE ME ALONE.

Walked away for a few hours...damn...

Uh...guys can we at least agree this is the SE forum and therefore the home of southern hospitality? Have a drink, call it a day, and move on to the next location. Please don't fight in front of the kids.

That's fine, but what does that have to do with justifying him attacking me?

Fact: he admitted he doesn't know where it is
Fact: since he doesn't know where it is, he doesn't know where it isn't.
Fact: since he doesn't know where it is OR where it isn't, he has no legitimate claim as to knowing it's not in the SE.

Fact: IF it's not in the SE, he still has no legitimate reason to attack me because there are probably 20 threads in the last 7 months to a year which are made up of non-region content. It's not my fault that he doesn't recognize well known locations from out of region or that he doesn't bother reading posts which clearly state they are from out of the region.

I have presented myself in a calm and logical manner while he has continued his immature rants and attacks with no regard for facts, context, or civility.

All I tried to do was share a single photo of something that blew my mind, and to provide a link to the set in ANOTHER category. I didn't realize that it was going to cause such a problem to do so.

And what is the proper forum Nomeus? Oh wait, you don't know. Please stop all of this. A moderator has already told you to stop and you mock them rather than listening to them. You've ruined this thread, can't you take that as a victory and move on to something else?
