hey everyone! so I am going to be in toronto from april 2-6, have been hoping to do some exploring and stuff while im there. I am wondering if anyone might be interested in making a random exploring friend those days? :p

I know Toronto is going to have some amazing spots! I know of a 1920's ballroom so far and a old factory I was going to go to, and am currently researching for new places. im not asking for giveaways, ill do the researching/google maps street view hunting lol, I just need a buddy cause I don't know toronto well, don't have a car, and really would enjoy not being stabbed.

so yeah lemme know if you might be interested!!

LOL! very true! Im sure I will be ok. I would LOVE to go to detroit one day. I would do so much exploring.

but just to mention, the factory I was hoping to see is long since gone, and Im also not counting on the ballroom being there either. to be honest, I JUST had gotten access all areas in the mail, was going to check out the places he talks about in there lmao, but alas I fail to read correctly and missed the fact that the brewery factory was about to be renovated into condos when he was there years ago.

so Im basically going to research, street view the shit out of old areas of downtown, and wander while Im there lol.

wish me luck lol

Hit up Kodak, inbox me if you need info on it... As far as I know it's pretty low risk. Although last time I went we did encounter security and we had to hide in the building for a bit.

That's all I know about locations in Toronto though...

^ What Yokes said. Unless you're into rooftopping, that there's no shortage of.

I hate hearing this... even if it is true. Yokes, what would you say contributed to the 'Golden age' that isn't around anymore?

I should qualify my comment by saying exploring if you like abandoned/decay shit. If you like rooftopping and drains, well then you're in the right place.

I like decay. my scouting found me Kodak 9, and gonna try the crystal ballroom in the king Edward hotel. any leads on an abandoned subway station would not go unexplored, photographed, and shared :p

Yes, thank goodness, what we've been waiting for all these years is for you to come and show us what we've all been missing out on at Lower Bay. I don't know why there are no photographs of that platform, but thankfully you're going to come down the 401 to set that right.

Can't really be bothered to write out an explanation in full, but the Hearn is worth checking out. Very high-risk as far as security/personal injury goes, so certainly not a very good place to start at. Requires some scouting beforehand. A quick Google search should yield enough information to figure out where it is.

Hearn is prob the best thing left in Toronto atm, however, security is tighter these days with work going on at the back of the property and Hearn itself is sealed up decently. There are still a couple ways in but you kind of have to know where they are or you'll be caught outside trying to find them.

He's not an FM an that thread is private

Kodak is (surprisingly) done. Crystal was a no go last week, mind you I put little effort since it too has passed it's prime. Abandoned subway station, HAHAHA!!! <- Thanks for the morning giggles

Roofs and drains, that's pretty much what you're getting in Toronto right now. I say keep driving, head east for you should hit up Camp 30 and some farmhouses in the area if you're chasing decay. Any Toronto place you think you found, if the pics are older than 6mo, forget about it.

Edit: Didn't realize you where coming from the east end.

try the crystal ballroom

hit up Camp 30

I would recommend both of these. Perhaps the Crystal Ballroom will be locked but still worth a try.

Detroit is beautiful but I'd be terrified exploring there.
