Yeah ... so that was the idea. I went with a friend, bentfoto and a female friend to model for us here. Although we were really looking forward to getting a free show from this cute, sexy little spinner, we just didn't have the heart to ask her to take her clothes off in such horrid sub-zero temperature. It was so cold that it was a total bitch carrying my tripod so I had to wear gloves. Every time I took a shot I had to take my glove off to touch my camera. We stayed here for a good four hours. If it wasn't for the cold we could have easily spent the whole day here. Looking at some of the photos here and on OAP it looks like we missed a lot of stuff too. So a redux with some panties around the ankles is definitely in order when its warmer but cold enough to maintain the thick sheets of ice so we can walk around. Thanks to a certain member who tipped me off with the POE getting in was a breeze. So thank you! Secondly, it was great meeting another fellow explorer in the field. You know who you are! Finally, what a place! I was more amazed at how thick the ice on the ground was. In certain areas the ice could easily cover up a water bottle! PS - the architecture reminds me of many other buildings built during the same era! Thanks for viewing! 1.

Yes... Cookies mixed with mildew, blood and a dash of death for good measure.

Loved 18. The snow pile is...simply neat. And I do concur, never pass up an opportunity to experience a few whiffs of industrial funk. Mmmm-mmmm-mmmmmmmm. <3

@Skye : LOL ... guess not! Do I even want to go back? @johannycanuck : snow pile? I thought that was a big nipple. Wasted my time photographing that thing ... LOL

Great set Rash, this place really seems to be locked in time. Did you make it up to the roof top? Great views from up there. 1.

Nice set Rashomon. My favs are 9 and 26. I really like the close up of that mixing machine. There were alot of people there on sunday. A couple guys we ran into had been there all night. Brrr. We stayed about 3 hours. My feet were so cold I could hardly walk. Not really a good day to be removing your clothes!

I'm glad I got to meet you just before you got in. It was madhouse in there that day. Most of the time I don't really see anyone but the last time was crazy. #26 is the reason to see it in the winter. Awesome set. Here is one I got of that day. 1.
P.S. Next time we all bring skates and have a hockey match.

As always, thank you everyone for your views and comments, I am grateful for your time! I know a lot of people were in there from all the noise, but every time we heard noise we would just hide thinking that it's LE or a hobo or some sort. Better to walk away than to start shit just in case it's not other explorers ... LOL ... Sleep in there? Damn! I was cold and exhausted after three hours. As mentioned earlier if it was warmer I could have spent a full eight hours. I know I missed a lot of stuff, especially like that locker Finz519 photographed and the basement! I would love to go back again when it's warmer but cold enough below zero to walk around the ice surfaces with or without a model ... this place is just stellar! Thanks again everyone! Much appreciated! PS - I did go to the roof but realized there were a lot of snow covering up weak parts of the roof so we got off when we saw that their were big holes! Plus, the wind chill was killing us.
