I just wanted to say thank you to all the explores that have posted the pictures here. As an electrician that works in a manufacturing plant I am interested in seeing these places you have here. But because of my illness I can not go exploring. I joined here to say thank you and try and help to identify stuff in the pictures. "if I can" Sort of go exploring through you guys/girls. So again thank you and be carefulish.

This may be the first time that UER has made someone happy
The Durango '95 purred away a real horrowshow - a nice, warm vibraty feeling all through your guttiwuts. And soon it was trees and dark, my brothers, with real country dark. |

LOL Send4Help. I have worked in a couple plants that are on the public DB in Oshawa and Toronto, Ontario. I worked at Acsys plant in Oshawa, I had some great pictures from it in its last days of operating. But I can't find the damn things, if I can get a hold of them I'll post them. I am going to keep an eye out for a meet that I can go to just to meet some people and hear their stories. I love looking at the pictures and I think back to when I was younger and was able to explore if I would have been able to see places like old factories, and places like that. It would have been great but I must admit I would have had a bit of a hard time leaving old parts on the shelves. I am always thinking "hmm maybe I could use that for something". But I totally agree with the foot steps policy, I feel bad because it would take away from the site that someone else could see and enjoy. I love to learn about the places, not reading about in a book but seeing how it worked and standing there (or in my case looking at the pictures) and thinking about the different people that worked there or were in care there. My dad and I collect and restore old tractors, so I like to see old machines. Anyway I have rambled enough. See ya around, eh.

Nice to know that our photos are possibly more than monuments to our own egos. Rural Geek, thanks for taking the time to join in the conversation. I've traveled all over the world without ever leaving my house. I do get a certain joy from "sharing" other people's adventures. Many of the photographers on this forum have a way of taking you into their photos. Almost like you are there too. I've always loved the idea of being a photojournalist. Unfortunately I have neither the writing or photography skills required. That said, I do like to try to convey a story when I post pictures. Welcome! Abby Normal

The best I can do is the you tube video. I worked a lot on the robots and the Chassis department on the water test and roll test.. https://www.youtub...atch?v=HBqFLsaMdJg

I'm glad that people's photos can make someone happy! Even when you can't go exploring yourself you're still taking the time to tell people you appreciate it! So thank you for appreciating people, it's always a nice feeling!
