What have you guys got planned for the upcoming season? I am in the planning stages for my May solo trip to Algonquin, will be going May 15-18! Can't wait to get out there. Also driving with my wife and son to Vancouver in August, they are flying back and I am driving back, still debating on going through the states to head home so I can hit Yellowstone and Glacier National parks.

It would definitely be worth it, but aren't there great places to visit in Canada? I don't have anything definite planned. I'm trying to gather enough gear to get my boy scout troop backpacking, but we'll see. The wife already told me not to buy any more backpacks for them with my own money, and the lads don't seem all that interested in doing a fund raiser to buy more gear. For me personally, I've been eying a trip to North Manitou Island for a couple years, but with a lot of personal stuff going on, everything's tentative.

On tap so far this year:
Cabin camping late March near Hocking Hills...plan to do a TON of hiking and sight-seeing while down there. May: Tenting it at Holly Rec. in Michigan. July: Kelleys Island (my favorite place to camp!) August/September: Wilderness State Park in upper Lower Peninsula of MI. About 10 to 12 miles of This runs through that park, plan to check that out. Late September/early October: Coin toss between Lake Hope in Ohio or Indian Lake in Ohio.
dsankt: In fact, the day I die yall are welcome to form an orderly queue and run a train on my eye sockets. I'll be dead and frankly, will not give a f*ck. budda: That makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Fuck me sideways this is insane. ~~~~~~ Because it's Cincinnati |

Not too much officially scheduled, but plenty being tossed around. A pretty big mine exploring event at the end of the month. Camping in my teardrop trailer in the Redwoods over 4th of July. My friend from England will probably come over a time or two, so that means more mine exploring. Today my housemate bought a 26 travel trailer. Some serious time in that baby. Will take a 4 day trip in it next weekend. Abby Normal

This weekend the Minister of Finance (AKA my wife) approved a trip to North Manitou Island for me! Looking at Labor Day weekend.

I just booked my first trip of the season. I landed a job with CN Rail today so before I head out to Winnipeg for 3 weeks of training, I am going camping! Booked for Tues, May 20, until Fri, May 23. Going to visit a park I have yet to see, Mississagi Provincial Park. Located about 25km north of Elliott Lake Ontario, it's about a seven and a half hr drive, but it's through some beautiful country! Can't wait to report back with some shots.
