never ask for a POE on this website- there are members who WILL post about this-
you are talking about different Bases- there are 6 in the Denver area- but this is the poop one.. LOL

Haha ok, good, poop one, I will remember that. Sorry, didn't realize I shouldn't ask about the POE, still trying to learn the ropes. I'm a newb.

And i only explore with the strobe setting. The standard setting is for squares. People tend to get a little upset with me, but it's the only way to truly live. -Relik

The silo is one of my favorite locations, the place has so much potential. I'm adding to my image collection on my site: http://www.perspec...1-missile-complex/

Brilliant. That would make life so much easier sometimes. Great set of photos though. Gave me some ideas for next time I go back.

My last visit I took some film down there and I couldn't see what the fuck I was doing at all, but a few shots turned out kinda okayish. Gotta go back and try again sometime soon with better lighting.

Nice work with the film! The first time I went down I took a roll and my K1000 and yeah... I couldn't see shit and gave up on that idea. Next time I'm down there I'm packing at least 8 of those mag lights.

My viewfinder kept fogging up and I was operating my camera and another for a friend so things were kinda out of control haha. I definitely plan on taking film down there again though.

Might as well show off some of my photos I took while I was there back in February.

It has been 4 years since I was at this location. At that time I talked to a local who said that old fuel had been removed by the EPA. I talked to a town clerk in Deer Trail who said her father had worked on this site during construction. A year later I met a elderly man who told me that he worked on the complex and the silo elevator doors had closed and killed workers. He said there was nothing left of them. My friend was stationed in the complexes in Kansas during the 1970's said it was boring and the escape tunnel was full of Rattlesnakes. Said as security they would shoot at jackrabbits. So boring that sleep was a good way to pass the time. These 10 acre missle complexes like the pristine one C-470 and Quincy (Lowry Landfill) are good enough and should be made into museums like the one in Arizona. (If detoxed).
