30 June 2004

Back is feeling better. It was unbearably hot today; the cat and I spent most of the day in front of the fans, me reading and she sleeping. In my opinion, John Norman is one of the most underrated fantasy authors of the 20th century, and his Gor series should be required reading in schools. Fantastic, deep, truly insightful and entertaining reading. And there's so many of them!

I finally made it to the grocery store today, as I'd been too unwell to the last few days. Without any soda or juice to drink, I'd been forced to swill tap water for two days to slake my thirst in this summer heat. Hopefully the withdrawals won't be too terribly painful...
