29 June 2004
entry by Krenta

Got a call from a local company who wants a ridiculously huge and complicated webhosting arrangement setup, and are offering easily ten times what it's worth. Even though setting it up is beyond my abilities, I've arranged to meet with them to discuss their needs in person. They wanted to meet today, but I explained to the nice lady that I'd hurt my back and wouldn't be able to make it for a couple of days; she was quite sympathetic and understanding, so we scheduled a meeting in a couple days' time. She was really very nice; I wonder if she's hot?

Still haven't decided what to name the alien; it's such an important decision, and not something that should be entered into lightly. The name you give someone affects their very being and personality; I've never met a Jim who wasn't flighty and carefree, nor a John who wasn't full of himself.

Did someone say huge and complicated webhosting?

Read the intro, ETMJ. Nobody said huge and complicated webhosting; it's *fiction*.

Mind you, loosely based on the reality that someone contacted me to provide email for several hundred thousand Wal-Mart customers, but...

I've read the intro!
However, most of your fiction seems to be more closely defined as "hyperbolic versions of the truth."

That and I always get excited at huge and complicated webhosting setups.

Hey, that's not very nice at all.

I like to think that I'm far less inept than the protagonist of my journal.

And apologies for the sporadic updates... (sur)real life is keeping me busy.

Heh. That's where the hyperbole comes in. Perhaps that's not the best word for it. Exaggerated might be a better description.
