I apologize for the bad iPhone pics.

I'm hoping to grab some film either on Saturday or Monday morning to give her a try! I've been itching to get my hands on this camera for a couple of years now and finally did

Quit your dilly dallying... Grab a cheap Shen Hao and a used lens from KEH, or an even cheaper Crown Graphic, and get going.

How hectic is your schedule, yokes? Maybe mid to late January we could get out?

Cool. Once I get settled into school I'll send you a message.

Took it out for a spin today and had a lot of fun! Also had someone ask me if they could get a photo of me with my camera, haha.

Congrats!
Grafmatic backs have come down a lot in price. I'd like to take this opportunity to suggest one. Tbey hold your film very flat and take up less space than standard holders!

I've got 4 of them... tough to find ones without light leaks or straight holders.

Weird. Both of mine are light-tight and the holders are hella flat. I've debated trying to 3d print a new one (and trying to print a 5x7 one). I don't think that ABS will work super well, but I'd probably end up prototyping them on my home printer and then ship them off to a place like i.materialise to have them done in aluminum. If there's an interest in aftermarket grafmatic septums, they should be pretty easy to design and print.

Weird. I've never seen a Speed Graphic with the strap on the right like that before.
