I recently acquired a Leica R3 slr with a Leitz 35-70mm 3.5. I am having some serious trouble metering on this camera. It has a switch for spot and general metering but no matter which way you switch it the photos come out super under exposed when you are shooting outside. When you shoot inside, it works just fine. Does anybody have an idea what might be causing this? I can't find a clear answer anywhere online. Here are some examples of what it is doing. These were taken outside.
But this one taken inside looks fine.
Also on a side note, I know a long time ago I said I would be getting my darkroom set up at a friends house and I would be developing my first roll. Well it turns out my friends mom wasn't comfortable with me mixing the chemicals in her basement. So it is getting moved again to my Grandfathers old workshop behind my grandmothers house, hopefully this time it all works out.

Get a light meter, confirm the settings.

Are you just processing film, or are you printing? You do know you can process film with out a darkroom right?
