I'm gonna plug my website for this one because I actually found a Polaroid camera in an abandoned mall and used it...

Posted by relik Any recommendations on where to purchase old Polaroid film? I have a Polaroid Land Camera 103.
|
Hahaha ... sorry that's a bit out of date??? Found this nfo for you .... "Fuji FP100C, FP100B, and FP3000B will work fine. FP100C45 (or any other film with "45" in it) will not work. That film is for 4x5 size film backs." https://www.photo....d-land-103.366888/ FP-100C https://www.fujifi...oto/films/fp_100c/

^I answered relik's question way back at the top of page 2, however Fuji has since exited the packfilm biz to focus on its consumer-friendlier Instax line. Expired FP-3000B and 100C are still easily obtainable if you're willing to pay a premium for it. The alternative is One Instant which is made by Supersense in Vienna and run by Florian Kaps, The Impossible Project's founder. They are hand-assembled single shots using old Polaroid P7 material that was left over from the 20x24 project. There was a Kickstarter to get the manufactory going in late 2018 and they are still fulfilling those orders, but sales should open to the general public in the summer.

Never seen this thread until now, here's some of my faves that Bryan and I have shot, most with an SX-70:

Damn those are great Polaroids .... I should have kept my Polaroid SX-70. What I loved about that film is being able to manipulate the emulsion while it is developing ... created some crazy images. Have you done that?

^Looks digital + filter... keep this thread analog.
Phenomenal. You hit the temperature sweet spot where the film doesn't turn overly pink or green.

Thanks man, yea putting the shots against our skin as they're developing has become standard procedure on cold days. Really fun to have to lift up your shirt and jacket when it's 15 and windy just for a chance at getting it to develop half decently. Even then the modern film seems really hit or miss, often an entire pack is trash. We've probably shot several hundred shots by now, and there are only a dozen or so that I'm really happy with.

Sorry to hassle you with an old person question, but can I embed photos from my Flickr account on here. I have quite a few Polaroid shots from exploring in Melbourne, Australia in the mid to late 1980's. Great thread

Share icon (arrow), BBCode tab. Copy-paste here. I usually cut out the text links/Flickr promo at the end but leave the image itself clickable.

The late-winter/early spring thaw is prime time to shoot this stuff, less risk of a temperature-related color shift.
