So I have been a member here off and on for a few years but never really attempted to get a full membership! I'm starting this thread as a place I will upload pictures from my explorations into some of the tunnels in LA. I will come back and update the thread as I find more.



The LA River and it's off shoots are somewhat difficult to access because there are no ladders in the cement and very few access points for cars. In the past we have dropped down or used rope but often would slip and get soaking wet or just hurt ourselves.

After walking an off shoot of the LA river we found a really easy access point.


(this is the fence you have to climb)


(but after that it's easy!)



Most of these tunnels are duel tunnels, pretty straight forward with few circular drains on the sides (from what we've seen so far}






(it's really beautiful walking under the freeways!)

There seems to be a growing number of members around here......If you want full membership? This is the way to do it.....Post and get to know good folk that can speak up for you. And don't just limit yourself to the Pacific Southwest, there are great folk world wide you can meet.

Very nice use of the camera in low-lite. I get tired of looking at blurry cell phone shots in the southwest forum.

I actually think I see the virgin Mary in #7. Makes me want to get some of those candles from the grocery store that have the pictures on them and make a little altar with this feature in the middle between candles.
