....were never manufactured here. But boats were. Welcome to Boaty Mc Boat
works in Shipsville Ca. Started in the 1890's by two brothers & survived
till the 1990's. They were best known for their mine sweepers. Many are
still in use today. The property is a clean up site(not super fund) so I
wouldn't eat any dirt or paint chips while visiting. But to each his own.

Great job a usual guys. The old safes are pretty damn cool. Zombiemeat and I were outside of this place looking for the POE but as soon as we found it the crazy crackhead lady in the motorhome parked outside started causing a hell of a ruckus, so we had to bail. That might be her in pic 37 LOL. Definitely going back for another try soon.

that RV is always there. Also present are the residents that dwell there.

Someone also lives in a trailer backed up to the fence next door. Lucky for us he was busy watching TV. His dog kept an eye on us tho.

Yeah we saw the residents there but they seemed pretty easy to avoid. Does the lady in the RV always rant and rave? and should we just ignore it and proceed? Inquiring minds want to know.

This location is freakin amazing, so much history, while I wish every explorer could go see it, I definitely think its best kept secret due to the history that is kept in there. We felt very privileged to get to see it. Lil Bugsy spent so much time just taking the place in that she didn't even get her camera out.

D: yes i would assume that the RV is affiliated with the site, we did. we didn't disturb anything or anyone. the dog next door is probably also affiliated with it's respective lot.

Wow Madcap, You got some amazing shots there! Seems that some of the items I wanted to shoot but didn't find the right shot, you were able to find the perfect angle to capture them. Nice eye!

Damn. SO rad!!! I love all the blueprints and stuff left behind. The gear-cutting broaching machine is sweet too. At least that's what it looks like from the one pic.

inter-found. It's a crop of a Google Street View pic. The secret is safe with me. I might wander by next time I'm in the neighborhood.
