Back from my road trip!

Two months ago I quit my steady well paying job, it was the scariest experience in my life, but I knew it had to be done. I stepped outside my comfort zone and embarked on a 2 month road trip through the eastern seaboard from Toronto to Florida along the I-95.

In those two months I managed to put 10 000 KM on my car, and shared countless interesting experiences and met incredible people. Learning to embrace uncertainty on the road was a huge challenge. The thought of detouring from a routine puts knots in my stomach. However I forced myself to become reliant on what I had prepared for myself. Not once on my trip did I book a motel/hotel room in advance, I drove and stopped whenever and wherever felt comfortable.

From lush green fields to jagged rocky hills, from city lights to dark looming forests. From the bustling life of New York to the laid back cotton farming fields of Georgia. I saw a side of America that most tend to avoid due to the availability of air travel.

I knew I was close to my destination when I saw the beautiful arid red dirt normally found in South Carolina and Florida. Palm trees greeted me along with watered down orange juice.
