I am a nineteen year old in college who has been photographing abandoned sites for about 3 years. I've been to 17 in total and have been lucky enough to win a few contests and scholarships with my photos, as well as been featured in a few magazines and popular website articles.

I am in central Pennsylvania and haven't met any other avid urban explorers in my area! Cannot wait to see what I can bring to the site and what adventures I can take from it. Thank you for being so awesome!

There is definitely an active exploring community in your area! It can sometimes take some time to become trusted though.

HAIIII GUYSSSS. I'm a 19 year old grunge fanatic from some shitty suburb in Fort Worth (reppin) I've been on this site for 2 years yet haven't made a single post.. but now I see that it's required to even find any non-demolished sites. I really love my phone, watching guys skateboard, pretending to hate everybody, and the white stripes. I just wanna explore goddammit.

Hey what's up! I'm Ek. I've been lurking around this site for a while and finally remembered my account info. I am located around the Portland, Oregon area and occasionally around the Bay Area in California. I've always had a deep passion for exploring and enjoy the rush of finding new places to photograph. I've only checked out a few abandoned places since I haven't had much time to search (though I do have my eye on a certain factory right now)

I'm super eager to meet new people and make new adventures!

As far as UE goes, I've only dabbled, though my first trip nearly made me swear off of the stuff for good - long story short, sneaking past MPs is a whole different game from sneaking past cops. Never again.

Nowadays, I'm in it for the sights and the challenge. Weird, given that Colorado is a place literally made of places that are hard to get to and provide amazing views, but I've always had a preference for the manmade over the natural.

In short, I’m a young professional who moved from the Piney Woods Forest to Houston, Texas in pursuit of happiness. Most of what I've found is chaos, and not always the beautiful kind you’d find in a 100 year-old spent abode. You can usually find me involuntarily dressed in business casual, jealous of the outdoors. I spend my weekends getting away, and my Silverado’s gas tank is notttt forgiving.

My goals here on UER: connect with other explorers in SE Texas, make acquaintances worldwide, intellectually capitalize on my passions combined, be awed by exploration artists, and last but certainly not least: BE CONTRIBUTORY.

Hobbies other than exploring: Guitar, camping, photography, writing, hanging out with my dog. Also, bathing in pop culture (*insert sarcasm font + hairflip emoji*)

I'd been on UEA (Urban Exploration Alberta) for a few years before it went defunct, but I managed to make friends with the admin and I've been following in their footsteps from time to time. Technically I'm new here, so hello!

I'm a photographer full time, and I enjoy rock climbing and film/theatre work part time.

This is my favourite image I've taken so far, I'm actually hoping to go back here very soon, when not updating my own personal marauder's map of the city.

For me the hobby is a means of relaxing and unique photography but most of all it's the ability to discover the unknown and forgotten in a world where everything has been discovered by the average person. Ever since I was young, when Youtube first hit the scene I had always wanted to explore Danvers State Asylum but have had the opportunity to see far better. I love to travel so I'm sure i'll reach out to someone who reads this eventually

Had the account for a few months so I figure it's time to say hello. The nickname is pronounced Skiz. (It's usage in sentences has been weird since incarnation, when getting my attention it was usually "Hey Schiz!" not "Hey The Schiz" but that's a story for another time)

Anyhow I do a lot of amateur photography, I shoot both digital and film, I've been on 4 out of 7 continents so far (Though only have decent urbex photos from one location in Japan) If you're in south central Texas feel free to drop me a line, especially if you have a location to go shooting.

Good to see some familiar faces!

Hello!

My commonly used internet name is Nifix and and I am very happy to have found this site. Outside of a few chance explorations I am very new to UE.

My first exploration was the Lister Block in Hamilton (Now renovated) when I was about 12. I was very lucky for the fact that my grandfather was assigned to look after it and serve as a guide for any movie makers which were using it. After the filming of Silent Hill finished up they left many of their movie props and my grandfather offered to take my friend and I on a tour. We got to see the main floor that use to be a mall, shops that have been transformed into horror movie scenes, the basement pool/gym, and the offices. It was an amazing experience and that is when I fell in love with UE.

Sadly for the years following I was only able to explore two small houses however I was able to experience both the joys of wasps and what I believe many call a "time capsule" in the other.

Once I get a hold of the photos I hope to make a thread showing off the Lister Block.

After talking about it with my friend (Same one from the Lister Block) we decided that it would be fun to try again now that we are adults... Well as adult as 20 year olds can be.

I am looking forward to the many future explorations and excited to meet and get to know everyone here on UER.
