I'm Fish, here at the request of a group of friends who wanted to do urbex. I've always felt the draw of a good abandoned place or somewhere to explore

Im chiastic (don't feel fully comfortable sharing my real name currently). I'm from northwest Iowa in the united states and have been very interested in this hobby for quite a long time. I was mostly discouraged because of the location that I live its very uncommon for vacant buildings to be left intact or at the very least unused but after some time of searching I have found a few locations and spent some time exploring one of them with a few close friends that were also interested in the hobby.

So far I've only explored one location and have basically looked through the whole area after going in several times and have been creating a map of places to look through although most of them are pretty much unsuitable (dangerous neighborhood, inhabited by squatters, impossible to get in, or too obvious or risky too enter without getting arrested).

I have joined this forum to hopefully have people to discuss and learn about this hobby with and I hope I am able to find good use and to contribute to this forum.

I've just recently been getting into urbex and will be in the Bay Area this summer. Would love to meet up with and learn from other more experienced explorers! Mostly got interested via exploring around Stanford this year, also have some basic lockpicking expertise etc. from work I've done adjacent to infosec stuff.

Bay Area urbexer here! Been a long time urbexer, but fell out of urbexing for a few years since my group and I just grew up or moved away. Wanting to get back into it and came across this forum while trying to dig up some old spots that have unfortunately been demolished. Lithuanian urban explorer here. I've been urban exploring as a hobby for the better part of my life, yet due to external circumstances, I've fallen out with my hobby and now seek to return to it.

I'm looking forward to learning more about urban exploration, meeting like-minded people (Yet I wonder if there are any Lithuanian urban explorers here) and sharing my photography here. I hope to contribute to this forum well.

helloo, i recently discovered this site and i'm trying carefully to ease my way in without my account looking sus lol... from what i see many people have been here a long time! but i've only been urbexing for about three years and discovered this website randomly :o my first bando was an abandoned house in the east end (urbex hotspot in houston)... it had MUCH of the belongings from the previous owners. found calendars from the 90's, diaries, boxes full of crap covering the entirety of the floor in EVERY room (could not see the floor). while i know these might be regular findings, i was besotted at that moment. i've always had a thing for nostalgia and discovering this new hobby intensified it so much more. after that it became an obsession-- if i had to guess i would say i have found about 30ish bandos in houston and its outskirts so far!

i'm in houston but get around texas often for work/exploring! i get the weirdness of a new account but i'd really love to explore with new people, if anyone from houston/texas would like to explore pls shoot me a message-- i have several pics of places i've found that i'll try to post within the next few days

Im not relatively new to Urbex ive been doing it for close to two years now,
some of the spots ive been to include Yoda's Den, Eel Pit, Eternal Turtle, Havyatts, The Vault, Grilled Egg, Centenial Park Resevoir, Triad and some of the abandoned buildings ive been into are The Malabar Battery/Bunkers, North Head Bunkers, The sound of Mucus, Videomania, Auto One, The Aristocrats and sledgys signboard if that counts as an abandoned building but I am planning on doing some city drains in the near future, ive only joined the forum now cause im starting to take pictures of the spots I go to and what to place to share it, and if your sydney based send over a message and i'd be happy to do some exploring as ive only done it on my own

Welcome to UER. I would like to see your drain pictures sometime when you get a chance. My favorite thing to explore is storm drains and sewers!

hi guys im the fishslapper42. been on this site for a bit now i guess but only been lurking. ive been draining exclusively for the past fourish years and have taken hella photos and maps and shit. i want to share what i know with people in my area on these forums and learn stuff from them ig. speedrun to full member status starts now 💪
