Entry: Concertina Wire

Concertina wire (also known as Dannert wire) is a type of spiked wire which is formed in large coils in the shape of a musical instrument called a concertina.

It, like razor wire, is a more modern alternative to barbed wire being more hard to cut as well as inflicting more severe injuries.

Concertina wire wire is very similar, if not the same to razor wire/barbed tape. The only difference is the shape formed by the wire, concertina being more organised and patterned.

It is mainly used in abandoned government building (e.g. prisons, hospitals) or a big area as it is a expensive mean of preventing trespass.
