Ok, so after my shift was over yesterday I decided to hang out with my tripod and my shitty camera and experiment with long exposures, f-stops, and lightpainting.

I think I took about 40 pics, but here are some of them. The stops at 2.8 make stuff look kinda fuzzy, the ones at 4 were a little better. That camera isn't really made for shooting stuff on manual though. It's my badly dented mine exploring camera. A Casio Exilm EX-Z750

Try lighting them up from behind or from the side, to get more depth into it. Lighting from the front tends to be a bit uninspiring

There is a very powerfully bright light in the middle of the yard that fucks over all my shots. There are limited places I can shoot where I have the cover of shipping containers or trees to keep from ending up with a massive ball of light in the shot.

The entire substation has a lot more equipment on it... in the next few days I wanna start shooting some of the other stuff, but I gotta work around the really bright light. It's the security light pole with camera's mounted to it, so it's more bright than the typical perimeter lights.
