I'm wondering how many of us carry our lights in specialized flashlight holsters and what type of holsters you prefer.

I carry my XL100 everyday in a Nite Ize universal like this one.

It's well enough designed, and for a different flashlight, it could be perfect.
But the Mag XL100 is a perfect cylinder with no flair at the head. (same goes for my X-5, but I keep it in a pocket on my bag) The problem I've encountered is that being a straight cylinder, the light can slide out the bottom of the holster.

At first, I fixed that by installing a Mag AA anti roll and filter accessory but after time, the anti roll ring became loose and it falls off occasionally. I thought about fixing it permanently with Quicktite but then I wouldn't be able to change filters and the anti roll ring makes it more of a pain to clean the lense.

I'm looking for another holster because I really don't want to modify this one, as it will fit some of my other lights, and I certainly don't want to modify my light.

The Mag barrel and the Inova Barrel are both 1", and if I remember right, the Surefire barrels are 1.25". Has anyone tried to use a Surefire holster on a smaller tube light?

I almost bought one of those just a couple of hours ago, but I was skeptical that it would accommodate a flashlight as fat as it says it will. The clip looks great.

That holster works well. I bought one branded Nite Ize and it's worked with a Quark, a Mag Mini, and a 2C Mag nicely.

It fits my Mag 2 D well enough but it takes some stretching. The clip is the best feature in my mind. It fits on my belt or in my pocket and it rotates 360' for hands free use.

I really like the holster but my XL100 slipped out the bottom one night. I found it, but still...

I like some Maxpedition gear but their holsters have velcro, and I hate velcro.

What the fuck is that thing? It looks like someone tried to redesign a man purse to make it look more southern acceptable.

"Magnum PI never left home without it"

lol

At that point, I would feel less silly wearing an LBE with a bunch of MOLLE gear on it.

I have so many holsters that came with lights, and I've never really used them. I can't help but think they'll come in handy at some stage, though.

My grandfather is a leathersmith and has made me a bunch of holsters over the years. He made me one for my maglite but it fits my Fenix TK-40 nicely. I still have stuff he made me when I was a kid, well made leather products take a lot to kill.

I use mine for my Coast's and my L2p

Give a person a match and they'll be warm for a minute, but light them on fire and they'll be warm for the rest of their life. =)
