Just got on board with funding a kick ass flashlight project. http://www.hexbright.com/ It is going to be open source so you can set it up for any amount of light output up to 500 lumens and any other craziness you wish. hmmmm superlow mode for ue use comes to mind and the ability to toggle to full brightness for blinding folks that wish to do you harm.

I'm not affiliated in any way other than I think it is an awesome item and I can't wait for production so i can get mine.

yeah, he's running an atmel processor which should run at 16mhz which is fast enough.
