Posted by ACA83 That's great. But did you run to them saying HEY GUYS IVE GOT A GREAT STORY! Or were they actively working on a piece on urban exploration, and you wanted them to get the right idea? If it's anything but the latter, you're probably looking for attention and probably shouldn't have done that. |
No, they found out through the grapevine about the "incident" I mentioned above (stuff being stolen, etc). They wanted to run a story about that situation, originally, but decided to go with a general piece on UE after some preliminary discussions (and realizing that we weren't bad guys).
Really, if the interview hadn't happened, it'd be fairly likely that they would have run the story anyway, but framed us as criminals rather than the positive story we ended up with.
Posted by TheJok3r I remember reading a while ago that someone was thinking of checking out the semi-abandoned military base at grant and kenaston. If anyone its still interested in that place, I have the contact info for the guy you'd need to talk to to get a permit to go in for photography purposes. No promises on whether our not you'd get the permit (i haven't tried) but if you want to try, let me know, I'll forward you the info. |
Haha the Military uses it for storage, no chance of getting in there.

I don't know about impossible, you would just need a good story. Maybe not getting in the buildings, but walking around the outside perhaps. R426 has been through it (cleaned it out actually, I believe) and has said it's boring/gutted, not really worth going in anyways.

Exactly! And trust me already people, leave it be. There's no way you're getting in there...

Posted by R426 Right click on a picture you have and select "Open With Windows Picture Viewer" or "Microsoft Picture Manager". Once there, find the tab where you can re-size the picture. It will give you an option to re-size it by %. For example if you put in 20% it will shrink the size of the picture's data space by 80%. It will be the same picture but won't be as large in terms of bites.... |
Also, you can upload to Flickr and embed it in your forum post with the BBcode
