I need a new technique, waving flash lights and burning steel wool is getting repetitive. Anyone have any suggestions?

I know the feeling about the steel wool - every shot looks much the same as every other. Maybe concentrate on shooting the trails of sparks flying through something?

Once you know the basics it's just a matter of getting creative, don't rely on other people for ideas.

Try Breaking the perpendicular plane with your sparks.

Do your best to avoid hitting the camera, but when a spark bounces towards the lens, it can make for a dramatic shot, and it might add a little depth to your shots.
