Carl Vinson VA hospital Dublin,GA

I worked as a contractor for a time, at 3 VA hospitals in Georgia. The oldest one was the Carl Vinson VA hospital in Dublin, Georgia.

It had a basement level and two floors above ground. The hospital was laid-out like a spider, stretching in all directions. In fact, if you walked from the far side of one end to the other it was close to a mile in distance.

The VA hospitals have their own police force and patrols are heavy, both in vehicles outside and by foot inside.

This facility had a good portion of the basement not in use or for storage. Many buildings around the main hospital are abandoned. The empty buildings all seem to be the same design.

There is an empty pool and building on the facility grounds. The VA also had a pond and dock for fishing.
