it was a good day, sort of.
the first location was "closed" to anything but a 4x4.
a search of the area was made. a gravel acess road was found- but it was not ideal. ok fine. i will do this. so i drove down about 3 miles with no place to turn around insight, and the gravel road turns into traintracks.
ok fine lets do this. so down goes the tailgate and i set up some golf balls 25 or so yards away. after a few hundred rounds. we take a break. she goes for a walk and i reset some targets...




then all of a sudden cherrybomb comes running back screaming "i think a train is comming!!!!" oh heck- i hope my truck is far enough away as the train is getting to close for me to try to move it (i watch reality tv shows... train vs. car/truck= train wins...)



















thank god there was clearence. nuff said.

Ah, 10-22 with a bull-barrel. Cool. I have one myself. Actually most gun owner have a 10-22 I've found

i built that one on a sub $500 budget. thats a gm .920 to .720 ss taper bull bbl in a "one off" hand made stock. pc trigger parts and a cpc bolt and cheap simmons 4x16-40mm glass. very good "truck gun" as it has taken countless crows, black birds, rats, tree rays, water & tree snakes and the odd turtle. it groups right up there with my $2k ultimate 10/22 target rifle. the bi-pod is a harris knock-off. it swaps between the mini-14, ulti and this truck gun.
