Gym buildings entry by mikenike605 2/28/2010 11:06 AM
There are 4 distinguishable Gym buildings. Field house- giant indoor structure with smaller rooms and racket ball courts to the west end of the building.
Bohler gym- main gym complex, this place has all the conditioning facilities for the sports team, there is supposedly a bomb shelter in the basement but it is locked to the public.
PE building- building has handball courts that see no use because there is no handball program. about 2 pools (i think) for the swim team. not much else that i think is interesting. I think i have seen there is all to see here.
the other building (ill find that name)- the oldest building next to Bohler gym except it hasn't been renovated. the first floor has a women s locker room. Basketball and meeting place for Capoeira group on third floor. and pools on the second floor. the basement on the west end has an old gymnastics practice area now utilized bye various groups (seems mostly forgotten) but the interesting part is a door that opens up into a giant concrete facility that is about 20 ft wide and extends the length of the building i gathered from the rotating platform at the end and all the paper targets laying around that it was a shooting range, but more recently it is being used as a makeshift hockey area. on the southeastern staircase there is access to a basement but the door is locked and has an asbestos warning sign, this probably means there is something interesting luckily the door doesn't look like anything i cant tackle with a drafting triangle.
