steam tunnels pt1

I have been curious about these tunnels since i arrived on campus. but more recently I saw a You tube video that showed me that there was a UE group through 94-97. I used the info i found on their site http://silicon-arcana.com/molenet/ yielded helpful info on other interesting things around.

I found that Troy hall has a maintenance room in the bottom of the basement, but this building is scheduled to be torn down once things are completely taken out. since there seems to be no rush to clean out he building i think that if the doors are open that i have till the end of the year until this passage is no longer viable. i also noticed the heat radiating from the passage so i now know that i need to expect high temperatures, last i noticed the signs warning of Asbestos so i will be coming back with an asbestos rated respirator before i tackle the tunnels

I bought a respirator and have contacted a friend who I recently realized would probably be stoked to do this. We talked but he seems hesitant because upon his own research he found that the results of getting caught in these steam tunnels might be expulsion. I think that i might have one free pass of claiming ignorance so i might explore anyways until that moment happens. I however would prefer to have a partner when doing this in case of an emergency. I also need a first aid kit.

i walked around campus and investigated different points of potential access.
1) The best access points might in proximity to the old Steam plants. the building is at most monitored by one person. the tunnels are cold so they aren't in use, there are devices in place anchoring the lids of the steam tunnel entrances in place but there are devices where if I were to hook it with a long rod i could pull the clip easily and loosen the grate (im pretty sure this is how maintenance does it)
2) another access point might be the steam plant itself. I noticed that the lights and sounds of pressure being released from pipes might be a cover for the fact that no one is really there. I will continue to monitor it until i am entirely sure that no one hangs around. I am thinking i might wander in one day and shout through the door, i want to ask if i can go around just to take pictures of the machinery.
3) Behind Bohler gym there is a porthole that would make a good exit from the steam tunnels. i cant conceive a way to inconspicuously descend into these tunnels.
