For the shot. My camera is about 12ft from the wall. I am standing behind @ about 15ft with the light. The Solitaire has brand new batteries but the Nano & the Key Mate are well used. The Nano @ aprox 3 hour & the Key Mate @ at least 10 hrs. This is the predecessor to the Nano. I have had mine for about 3 years. The batteries have never been changed. I have been carrying it as my back up since its purchase. You can buy the light by its self($5-7) or the whole shindig for a few($10-15) more. I got the full package for $12 @ my local store. Mine came with light, lanyard, & 2 filters(red&green). It runs on 4 357 button cells. I get 50 for around $6. So this is cheap to operate. The fit & finish are top notch. The only fault I have is with the clip. It should be reversed. So it can be attached to the brim of a ball cap. Also it it TOO strong. It is hard to open & if clipped to your pocket...God help you trying to get it off smoothly. Other then that its a champ. It is light enough to hold in ur chops for decent spells without cramping. You still drool because it's hard to seal around the clip, or if its on the lanyard.

On a recent stealth trip, Bonnie forgot her red lens for her mag. So on the way in she used the Key Mate w/filter. She was so impressed , once inside she used it as her primary light. She was loving the lanyard. She could just drop the light any time she needed or spit it out without fear of dropping/losing. She has now made this her primary light & the LED Minimag is backup.

This has the same bulb as the Nano & claims the same 10 lumens. But due to the reflector & bigger batteries it shines a good 10-15% brighter. It is hard to tell in pix & neither have new batts for a true comparison.

Wrap up- This is an excellent exploring light. It is a brite, durable, concealable, cost friendly light. I give it a 9 out of 10.

I had no idea anyone made filters to fit tiny lights like this - how cool is that?
