+1 on the bore snake. hoppes #9. break free and tri-flow for solvents and lubes.

the lil old .22 round is the most fun- low recoil, cheap and CAN be very accurate. cheap 3x9 scope and its a days fun- even in a single shot bolt gun.
the best way to get into the sport- yes its a sport. is with a .22 $100 pawnshop old ass bolt gun or tore up semi is always a good deal.

but, the cheap stuff can get to be a pain it you are trying to shoot groups. everyday type plinking- it rocks, but im a fanatic over groups... so i dont shoot the cheap stuff and try to be serious... i have "bags" of bulk loose mixed ammo- like 3 1 gallon ziplock freezer bags full of rounds that just go "pop" i use for just plinking...

be carefull, b/c i dont know anyone with "just 1 gun" (my g/f dosent understand WHY i have more than 1) you will find yourself in the same spot as many... 1 or 2 .22s a bigger gun very accurate for taking game, a shotty for h/d, a handgun for well cus u can... a battle rifle in case the zombies come, an ar cuz they are cool, a historic rifle, lever or bolt cuz of its historic value... the list goes on and on and the safes are a bitch to move... oh and ammo- never can have too much ammo...

i have to take my meds now...

When I say I'm 'clean and sober', it means I've showered and I'm headed to the liquor store.
