I finally got my constant-current driver working. With a bit of soldering and duct tape, I made this:



It's a hipFlex driver, currently overdriving some Cree emitter on a heatsink thing. There isn't any color shift, so I'm not cooking the thing too fast. This is an extremely simple umbilical light, without any optics or reflectors yet. I'll get to those soon. Pure flood, and enough for cheap digicam video within about 10'.

I plan to upgrade the batteries and emitter, but I'm just glad to have the dang thing working. I may even get some drain shots with this, although it's very non-waterproof.
