Why do people send their kids to daycare while they're sick?
I understand to a point that people do have to work, but for the sake of everybody else that comes into contact with them...could you please keep them home for one damn day? Preferably the first day they're sick because they're still contagious?
My nephew goes to daycare 5 days a week, last week one of the other mothers sent one of their kids to the program with some kind of shitty fucking cold. Well, my nephew caught it, we didn't think it was a cold, we thought it was his sinuses as he has allergies just like the rest of us. Last night I come home from dinner with Sam, sick. I'd thought all day that it was just my sinuses, but then the sore throat and snotty nose really began.
I think what really bothers me about is...the kids mom never told anybody that she was sick so we could at least make preparations to fight this shit. Instead, we all end up sick as dogs and we have no fucking idea what it is we got.
Hopefully by Monday I'll feel better when Sam and I are supposed to go to a movie. It just pisses me off to no end because I never get sick when I have to work, but when I get time off to myself...I end up sick and can't enjoy it.
