After a few years i can finally send MMS on my Iphone starting Sept 25.

YAY!!!!!!!!!!

Takes them years to do what other shitty phones have been doing since day one. Fuck even my buddies Tracfone can send em.

This is just one problem out of dozens with that carrier. Fuck AT&T, i'm going with Verizon when the Iphone comes to them.

Can't you jailbreak the iphone and go to any carrier you want that supports 3G or whatever?

That was one of the main reasons that I didn't get an iPhone.

Isn't there some issue with Verizon NEVER carrying the iPhone, due to an issue where they wanted to be able to service the phones themselves, and Apple told them to go fuck themselves?

Only carriers with Sim Cards Sprint and Verizon won't work because they don't run on the GSM network.

I jailbroke my old Iphone when i had T-Mobile and it fucked it up bad. Even after a restore. I think it trashed the Base Band. Tho I loved having it jail broken it would crash and freeze all the time.

I guess that Apple is gonna have to a add a new radio to the iphone if they want Verizon to carry it.

Yeah, Verizon uses CDMA radio whereas ATT uses GSM. The iPhone will never come to Verizon because of an exclusivity agreement Apple has with ATT (not to mention Apple would have to completely redesign the phone's hardware).

I'd switch to Verizon sooner than later. GSM service is all around less reliable than CDMA. I've used phones on Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile, and ATT; Verizon and Sprint have far better coverage and reliability than the competitors. You wont be able to use the cool gadget that is the iPhone, but theres always Blackberry.

i had tmobile for 6 years. it never, ever worked in abandoned buildings. it was like they purposely went arond and made sure you couldnt get service in any abandoned building lol. that always bothered me too, i felt like i had no way to reach someone if something happened to me ande i was trapped.

a friend of mine has an iPhone... when he's on it, he looks like he's bashing himself in the head with a brick. I have an old shitty Motorola Razer an it's just fine. It's a phone, not the main computer of the starship enterprise. You dial numbers, you talk into it and text. What more do you want a phone to do? Tickle your balls while ordering pizza???

Sadly I'll never know the wonders of these touch screen phones. My fingers are too big and they hit numerous buttons at once, so the phone doesn't know what to do and usually ends up doing nothing.

Of course, they do sell styluses.. but requiring a tool to use my phone seems a bit inconvenient.

i think that should be paraphrased as "...requiring a tool to use my phone seems a bit absurd."

I completely agree with you!!! I thought the Razor was a new phone, it has only been out for a few years. What the hell is MMS anyway? My phone has voicemail and it can send and receive text messages (I get about 10 a year) and that is all that I need.

Umm...maybe you should have gotten something else? I know the Iphone is nice, but it sucks that they only have limited services. Only thing I wish I had was more memory in my phone. No memory card slots, so I'm looking at an unlocked Motorola Q9 that I can just slap my present sim card in and go.

MMS is multimedia messaging, with video, animation and sound. The Razr with the right plan can do that. I can do that with the plan I have, along with photo messaging as well.

I have a V3 Razr through AT&T, same phone as Sam has, a recent acquisition since I got sick of Tracfone and my dad wanted a new phone too, as they only offer CDMA service up here which sucks balls, no GSM services that seem to work better in this part of the country...been able to send MMS since day one, along with IM and other stuff, like using the internet over it.

Well, that and I can call Sam as much as I want on AT&T without paying a fortune, same with text messaging. I just want something that has a full keyboard.

This is yet another reason I will never buy Itrash, ever.

You can buy an unlocked Iphone, supposedly they're fully guaranteed to work on any carrier that has a SIM card system, the same place that has the Q9 I'm looking at has them. Just need a SIM card.

My whole beef with cell phones are dorks who wear them attached to their belt. Sometimes they carry more than one!

I had some issues with AT&T last week.

The service was second to none and they even gave me a month's credit without me even asking for it.

AT&T = win from my experience

iphones suck!

You do know that things are developing rapidly for the Palm webOS platform and Android Right ?

I write from time to time for a mobile phone blog, and watch the industry closely. The iphone will more than likely never go to another carrier. Im sure AT&T would lose customers to other providers over it. I think its funny as hell my buddies that rock iphones have to go online to see their MMS's currently.

If apple was smart they would be trying to get the iphone on every other carrier. AT&T must be paying them ALOT of dough for them to not want to make revenue on phone and app sales.

I currently rock a Palm Pre and Like it a million times better than the iphone I had for 2 weeks.

Same phone I love it. Never cared about having a super-spiffy phone that can tickle balls and order pizza And my AT&T service seems to work just about anywhere 'cept underground.
