I've had to do two appx 30 days breaks over the past 2 years after say 9+ straight years of smoking. The first time it was nothing special. Then the 2nd time I would get ridiculously blazed after smoking again. Kinda weird how it all works.

The sad thing is it will never be like when you first started....ever. Well unless maybe you took a solid 6-12 months off...but still nothing even beats the first.

The hardest part is sleeping the first couple days. I usually have a restless night or so. Also, you'll find you start drinking more and more! Drinking before bed helps you get to sleep though. The physical withdrawl is gone in 1-3 days. Then it's the mental....nothing worse than sitting there on the net, typing into uer, go over to grab your pipe...and oh crap wait.

When you start again it will taste really weird too and you'll wondering why you were smoking int he first place. Though that will change quickly

I'm at a month and a half, after a good 8 year stretch of heavy smoking. Probably doesn't help that my roll of choice would be the blunt, and as much as I hate ciggs, when ever someone around me is smoking its all I can think about. I can't get to sleep at a reasonable hour, and when I do my dreams are super retarded. I knew what I was getting into the first week, but I was hoping to kick the lack of sleep and dreams thing in like a week or two...

I've been drinking more and more, but to be honest it doesn't help. Unless I'm stupid drunk, but I don't like getting there. I'd much rather be stupid high. Oh well, I'm giving myself a week or two, then rolling a decent little personal blunt and I will sleep like a baby.

I actually enjoy he dreams when I don't smoke as super-crazy as they are. It's just becuase when I smoke I don't remember most of them.

I enjoy the fact that I can actually remember my dreams. I don't so much enjoy waking up in what feels like a bath of sweat. Or the few minutes it takes to distinguish between what I was dreaming about and reality. But other than that, yes being able to remember your dreams is cool, just wish they weren't so fucked up.

weird...i find that smoking has the opposite effect...my dreams are less intense and less fucked up when i do smoke, and i find i am able to get a better night's sleep. also, as someone who used to smoke cigarettes, i find smoking weed makes me want a cigarette less than sitting near someone who is smoking when i'm sober...

i hadn't been sleeping very well lately, and also hadn't smoked weed in almost a month, and then last night a bunch of students living next to my friends' place invited us for a session - i went to bed like an hour later and slept like a baby!
