Old guys in Home Depot who, instead of helping you, insist on playing twenty questions. For example, I went in to buy a respirator. Knowing nothing of respirators, I stopped him to ask what filter went with what respirator. He asked where I was going, I said near asbestos. He asked if it was disturbed, I said maybe. He said that's illegal, I said I know. Ish. In not so many words. But seriously, wtf? If he would just answer my damn question I would buy my product and get out of his hair. Or lack thereof.

Hey those old guys are great because they are knowledgable! The ones that are irritating are the zit-faced, slack jawed teenagers who don't know shit and have to go look stuff up on the computer or find someone else.....

Or just simply hand something to you. You buy it and then find out later that it's not what you needed at all.

It may be a nuisance 'playing 20 questions', but these old guys are doing their job helping the customer (you). I've had a few projects around my house that ended up being easier because of these old guys and I heard one of these old guys try to stop someone from doing something very stupid. I hope the person listened. The very stupid thing the person wanted to do was rig an extension cord with both ends being male. Can we say "ZAP-P-P!!!"???"

Well in his eyes I probably was trying to do something stupid. At least I'm trying to do something stupid safely.

My countrymen.

I travel a great deal for business, and what I have decided is that 80% of the US is as fat, lazy, stupid, arrogant and generally worthless as our detractors say we are. If the quality of people in the US in 1776 was what we have today, we'd be Uganda.....or worse. Do you know why we have people like W and Obama as Presidents? BECAUSE WE DESERVE THEM!

I'm not giving you other countries a free pass, just particularly PO'd at Americans today.

I have changed my personal exploring ethics code. From now on it will be: "Take only aimed shots, leave only hobo corpses." Copper scrappers, meth heads and homeless beware. The Jonsered cometh among you, bringing fear and dread.

That I ran out of cat toy jingle balls to put into cores and we've got rolls going to China, Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong this week. The store I usually buy them at is out of them.

I still haven't heard if anybody's ever found them.

Bluetooths. And people who wear them everywhere.

Case in point: Went to a wake and funeral a few days ago. One of the people there to "pay respects" wore an obnoxious, blinking bluetooth the whole time. Who the fuck does that??

Watch, next they'll start making these things waterproof so the idiots can wear them in the shower. God forbid you miss a call or don't look super important at all times!

Ughhh.

And when you're in the elevator and someone says hello/starts talking, you turn around thinking they're talking to you. Nope, Bluetooth.

Or when they have asked you a question, you're trying to answer and they are too busy with their blue tooth, don't get your answer and then complain that you didn't answer their question.

Makes me want to snatch the damned thing away and ram it down their throat!!

The 'best' part is when they wave you off with a finger and insist you stand their for several minutes while they're yapping and you have other people to take care of.

I hate douchebags who "cut corners" because they're too fucking lazy and selfish to stick to their side of the road.

I'm in RED, making a right turn onto Lord Rick Drive while some tard is making a left on to my street. But rather than taking the dotted blue route, they take the solid blue route, narrowly missing a nasty collision.

Jesus fuck!

Usually it's the douchebags with the ricer-mobiles that take the curves at speed because they feel they're in the Indy 500.

Our old house was at a corner, and I cannot believe there wasn't one head-on because of this.

====

People who blow through stop signs. Not the people who do a rolling stop, the people who just drive right through 'em. Taking your foot off the gas while going through isn't the same as coming to a complete stop. One day they'll get into an accident, and if they survive see the error of their ways. Or maybe the increased insurance premiums and legal action against them will change that.

There's a set of lights at the bottom of a nearby street. It's a three way stop. I have to stop to turn. The light was MY green. Totally green, meaning that the other guy's light was totally red. Not yellow. Not about to turn red. It was fucking RED. Dude flew through the light, and narrowly missed me, my wife, and my son. He would have broadsided us, and it would have been a very, very bad accident.

My road-rage impulse started to kick in, but my wife talked me off the ledge.

Had I been in the car alone, I would have followed that careless motherfucker, and I would have confronted him, and I would have let loose a stream of violent expletives that would have shocked even Samurai.
