I hate holidays, at least the ones that I don't spend with Samurai.

Anyway, I've been up since like 6:30 this morning getting stuff ready for Easter dinner. My family has always gone whole hog for holidays, Easter is no exception. So, my sister calls about 7 and gets here by 8am. Not unusual for her when her husband's on 11-7. So, my mother and I are busy, cooking ham and turkey and the rest of the stuff for dinner, she comes in, all frustrated and upset because of her little boy. Again, not unusual, she dumps him on my mom and me.

She just left a little while ago after I decided to go hide in the bathroom while she was using my computer. What irks me is she expected me to watch her kid while she uses my computer to spend more money she doesn't need to spend on bullshit. So she gets pissed off and leaves after trying to give him a nap so she can go have a nap too, because I refused to watch the baby while she decided to fall asleep in my recliner. On top of this, she bitches because I have my PC game disks under my desk in the living room where my computer is and the baby keeps trying to get into them and pissing her off.

I can't say anything to her because my mom is scared she'll keep the baby away from her if any of us call her on this shit. My sister is that type.

I know it's kind of bloggish, but fuck it. I'm ready to scream at her when she comes back here for supper.

Now I know why Sam doesn't like her.

Family sucks! You can't pick them, you are stuck with them and obligated (sort of) to love them. My sister in-law did not marry till her mid 30's and has a step daughter. When she took over the step mom role she believed she knew it all!!! OOOOO this is easy, shit the kid was 8. Well she thought she knew it all before. Now she has a newborn. Hehehe now she knows how precious sleep is, not to take 5 min to yourself for granted and really the house is not meant to be spotless anymore. Not to mention you might be late because the baby crapped up the 3rd outfit you put on him, spit up on your clothes and you need a beer to regroup and continue on.

Shael, I think you have a long road ahead of you with this one. Didn't you post quite a while ago about how she dumps her kids at your house pretty frequently??

I hate people who have kids they can't handle, and then feel sorry for themselves for having to deal with them. But its okay for them to dump the kids on us so WE have to deal with them. Its bullshit.

Don't get me wrong, I agree with giving someone a break from their kid. Even the best parents with the best behaved kids need a break or some alone time. But the constant "dumping" is bullshit. Especially when its clear the people your dumping on are busy with other things.

My loser sister and her equally loser boyfriend had a kid and I've had custody of her since she was 10 months old. Why? Because they couldn't deal with the headache of being responsible for something 24-7.

I did. It started back when the kid had colic.

I've just been putting up with this shit for a little over a year and it's getting progressively worse.
