Googie Signage & Architecture:

I never realized it actually had a name, but that space-age signage and architecture is called Googie! This style has always caught my attention and brought smiles to my face. It's sad though that most of it is gone, only a few examples of this flamboyant styling remain, and many of those are in danger!
