Thanks to it, I have a huge gash on my palm which is still not closing up, and is in a place that is damn near impossible to keep clean/covered.

FUCK YOU ICE.

And FUCK YOU FENCE that tried to keep my shoe.

I needed that to walk. Isn't it enough I already am bleeding? Can I have my shoe back now?

Thanks.

Fuck you, winter.

That's basically all I've heard.

And both instances happened in February, in the snow/ice, pre-dawn, due to rushing because a bus was barreling up the road.

I give up on winter exploring.

My foot almost froze off when I was draining recently because of a leak in one of my waders. By the time I got back to the outfall, I couldn't feel anything above my ankle. It was also minus twenty out that day. So as I was hobbling back through the woods to my car like the Elephant Man, I looked down at my foot and saw nothing but sock. I guess my hiking boot came off when I was climbing up the riverbank and never even noticed because, like I said, I had no feeling down yonder. I eventually made it back to the car where I kept the heat blaring away for a good half hour before things started to get back to normal.

Course, I was back at it a few days later after patching things up with a bit of duct-tape.

Oh, Winter! I could never stay mad at you.

Oh yeah.. and I also found my boot buried in about three feet of snow.

Did you find your boot that day or later?

And did you find a small animal trying to hibernate in it? Because that would make it all the better.

I went back for it the next day so I had to walk down a busy street to my apartment wearing only the one boot. I felt like a hobo.

A couple months ago I slipped on some ice that may have been frozen pee-pee. I bruised my tripod.
