| | | I had an RCA Opal that did something similar. One of the reasons I asked for the new one I got. I hate Microsuck, but the Zune players are quite nice and as much as I hate DRM, you can disable it and everything just falls into place once you download the latest software from the Zune support site. I'm guessing the Ipods all do the same as well. Can you get the firmware to update? It sounds like you're having issues with that portion of it, or the player isn't compatible with your pc's USB hub drivers. It sounds almost like a problem I had way back when I used to play sci fi FPS online games with a joystick. My video drivers didn't like the joystick drivers. Once I installed modded drivers made for my video card, everything worked out fine and the crashes went away. Sometimes, some video cards have problems with USB storage devices. With the advent of PCI-X, it's not so much of a problem anymore, but the old AGP bus cards hated them and wouldn't play nice with USB storage devices, like flash drives and flash mp3 players, and other USB devices, such as printers and joysticks and would crash out your computer. If you're using an old AGP video card, I would suggest checking out Omega or Detonator drivers for video and the update should resolve the problem. Just look up those drivers through Google, the websites for them usually have the latest modified drivers for download. You might want to check into that issue though. If all else fails, contact Samsung support, and keep on them till you get someone who speaks english and can understand what you're saying. Shael
