especially when it is at 7AM.
i was scheduled to do a photoshoot as a favor to this girl in the photography program in my school. she said she was only available to do it in the mornings before class, so eventually, i agreed to that.
this morning, i get here just before 7 and she decides that she doesn't feel like it, because she has a headache and asks "can we do this some other time in the afternoon?" which is what i had been pushing for all along.
i wouldn't care so much, if she had given me any type of notice...it's not THAT big a deal, really, but i could have had an extra hour and a half of sleep this morning (a precious amount of time to an insomniac), plus the time it took to put on full makeup and do my hair the way she wanted it.
i've been at the school for almost an hour now, and classes don't start for another hour. thank god the computer lab is open!

sorry if this is super whiny - i'm really not a morning person.

I would be pissed off and would refuse to reschedule.

I laughed when I realized that you are actually the model bitching about the photographer flaking. It is so much more common to hear photographers talking about models canceling, or just not showing up.

OK, I'll be thinking of you while I'm at the Deerhunter concert Wednesday night at Lee's Palace. Deerhunter are a cool ATL/GA band.

yeah, seriously, it is usually the model that flakes out. but i'm no professional model or anything like that.
the girl i was supposed to do the shoot for, carina, is building her professional portfolio and wants to be a fashion photographer. the very first week of school she approached me (i'm not really sure why she picked me out of everyone she could have asked..whatever, though) and i did a small shoot for her for one of her class assignments. she said i was a natural, and has wanted to do a fashion shoot with me since. so we finally found a time where neither of us were busy (she insisted on the morning).
she asked me to straighten my hair - so i did. she asked me to put on specific makeup colours/wear a specific sweater of mine - so i did. not really that big a deal, but still, i could have been sleeping.
the thing that REALLY pissed me off is that two seconds after i started this thread, i went back to the studio where my other friend was, and there was carina, painting my friend's face and dancing around. WTF?! i honestly might blow her off for a reschedule...

You're helping her, go to considerable trouble to do her a favour and then she decides to cancel at the last minute really sucks.
