Seems like I saw mention of some others owning M1s, so lets see 'em!

Heres Mine:

Springfield Armory (six digit serial 866xxx) Sept. 1942

It was rebarreled in 1952 for the Korean conflict. The stock is a correct 1942 with proof mark (S/N 665,000- 2,092,000 June 1942-October 1943
S. A. / E.McF. (Springfield Armory / Earl McFarland) It also has what looks like a few "kill notches" on the back of the stock.

Post it up!

A M1A/M14 is pretty high up on my wish list.

I am always on the lookout for a garand. It is a rifle ive wanted to own for a while. Shot an M2 carbine at a machine gun shoot a few months ago. Very interesting to shoot a full rock and roll M1 carbine!

I do have an English Enfield No.4 MK1 stamped 1944 but pics of that dont belong in here...

Very cool! How was the muzzle climb on the M-2? I'll bet it was terrible I've got three M-1 carbines but can only dream of owning an M-2...

Post those Enfiled pics on a new thread. I've got a Canadian built Longbranch Enfield No. 4 and it's a sweet shooter.

I'm trying to get my boss to sell me his No. 5 Jungle Carbine that he inherited and cares nothing for. It's been drilled and tapped for a scope which really sucks but at least it's a real No. 5 in decent shape.

nice! a real No5 is fairly hard to get ahold of. Unfortunately someone along the line has sporterized the stock on my enfield. It is the original wood which almost makes it worse lol. Ill do a thread up!
