| | | Don't feel bad. My issues started when I bought this car back in March. A 2000 Buick Regal in mint perfect condition, other than a bit of paint work and a replacement taillight cover, with less than 80K miles on it and one owner. Anyway, the man I bought it from put the wrong VIN into the inspection terminal. When you buy a used car in NY from a dealer, it has to be inspected before you can register it. Well, he missed the number by one digit, so the DMV couldn't find it in the inspection computer system, without it, they wouldn't register the car. After a bunch of phone calls and two trips out to Elizabethtown, I got it fixed by having a photograph of the VIN printed on the frame faxed to the DMV. It took 3 weeks to get a new title to the vehicle. After that, because of the incorrect VIN, I was charged extra auto insurance because the VIN that was given to the DMV was for a supercharged model of Regal called a GS, I have the LS, which is the same engine, but no supercharger. Anyway, it took three months to straighten it out and get a refund from Liberty Mutual, which instead of it being cash, was applied to my account. Shael
