An Interesting Morning

I was up late last night and decided that I was going to go out and watch the sun rise. What a more perfect place than the old train tower. I got more than a sunrise that's for sure.

Before I took the third picture in this series, I took one with flash by accident. Immediately afterwards, the cop cars pulled out and sped down the road. I was slightly worried they had seen me, and my fears seamed to be confirmed when the police SUV turned into the depot and started to drive down the train track path. Thinking I was caught, I was ready to just climb down and meet them; but just as I was about to, the guy turned the car around. He sat there for about fifteen to twenty minutes, then started his car and left.

So I got the photos I wanted, and left. I was walking along the road when several cop cars passed me, including the SUV. Shortly down the road, the SUV turned around and drove behind me. It slowed down and stopped right next to me. The officer inside waved me over and said, "We're looking for someone and you kind of match the description. *pausing* But I guess you don't need to worry about it, you don't have uh... a beard. The man we're looking for is said to have a beard." I replied with surprise, "Really?" and laughed.

He asked me if I had robbed the gas station up the road jokingly, to which I said that I hadn't and laughed again. He pulled away and drove back towards his original direction. Turns out that someone had robbed the convenience store at the gas station only a little while before I got there.

Pretty interesting morning overall. And I still haven't slept yet.
