| | | Ive been into electric planes for 3-4 years now. For about a year, I sold flying wing kits. I went to work during the day, and cut cores on my cnc hotwire at night. Too much time, and not enough money...so that was the end of that. Anyway, there is no question that a Slow Stick is one of the best planes to learn on. They take 30 minutes to slap together, and they have all the components out in the open(yes, this is a good thing). Best of all if you crash its brains out, you're only out 35 bucks, and you have a nice pile of spare parts. A lot of beginners don't like the Slow Stick because it doesn't look much like a "real" plane, just remember that learning to fly is by far the most important part, then fork out for the nice looking models. My 2c anyway. Since xmas has come an gone, what did you end up doing?
