| #001 Operation Draw Bridge entry by Cipher 7/16/2006 4:12 PM
| Operation Draw Bridge Date: Within 1 Weeks # 001 Operational Plan: Throughout the Jersey Shore there is an abundance of small to medium size draw bridges that cross the inlets, bays and wetlands found in costal regions. Many of these where built in the early to mid 19th Century. Many of the bridges are becoming "dated" and no longer have the ability to move up and down to allow sailboats, and larger yachts through. The NJ Bridge Commission is slowly removing the older bridges, and replacing them with more modern, larger "Arches" which can allow large ships through without the need for a draw bridge. I hope to document some of the older bridges, and show you how the draw bridge is lifted, ect. You may find this to become interesting. Details are available for those who are interested, but they are by PM only. Stay tuned for the updates. C1PH3R.
