| Roofed! entry by Axle 2/12/2006 8:02 PM
| Last night I got the urge to go back to Consumer's glass here in Milton (http://www.uer.ca/locations/show.asp?locid=24094) for all you full members. I had been studying the location in Google Earth and discovered a path running towards the plant grounds from an abandoned rail track. So off I went. My first priority when I was on the grounds was the check for any security. I make my way across the darkened yard between the main plant and the silos, pausing twice to snap a pair of shots...these are not good shots, but I wasn't going for artistic or good photos this time more "wraith" like as I needed to be able to get out quickly with little equipment to slow me down.
So I get up onto the roof of the admin building a move towards the front in a half crouch...and peek out over the rest of the plant (part of the place is still semi-active.) and nothing, to activity at all...score! So I get down off the roof and am about to enter the main plant...only to look and see another open door into the silos. I poke around in the lower floor of the silo, mainly processing equipment, there are ladders down into the pit but being solo on this I didn't want to go down, next time. So I walk back outside and there it is, the ladder that runs to the top...so I climb, and climb, and climb some more...and then presented with this view right at the very top.
ROOFED BABY!
