| Over Christmas break I noticed that part of the forest north of my house had been cleared away and that there were several abandoned houses. Unfortunately, by the time I could actually go and try and get into any of them, there was only one left,the other had been demolished. My mom actually drove me; I didnt have my car and I didnt want to be caught there alone. I go there and instantly went around the outside to take pictures. Aside from the pain job, it was very nice looking. After I took pics of all four sides, I went inside. Im sure the door had been locked, but someone had broken the glass on the door and opened it again. The place was a complete mess, but I went on in and started taking pics. The air in the house smelled stale, and everything was still... really wierd feeling, not at all like coster when there were others with me. I found a hole in the floor on the first floor, so I knew I should be extra careful, just in case other floorboards were unstable or in bad shape. I went upstairs and just to the left of the landing was an attic crawlspace. I didnt go in, because I didnt have a flashlight. There was another bathroom up there and Im assuming 2 or three bedrooms and an office. In one room there were still clothes in the closet hanging up and a stuffed animal on the floor. It made me wonder why they left all of this stuff. Most of it could still be used. In another room was a dismembered artificial Christmas tree and a bunch of broken ornaments. there was another room, but it was basically empty, and then the office which still had the desk and file cabinets in it. I was stupid and didnt look through anything, partly because I heard the door slam downstairs which freaked me out... it was only the wind though. I honostly thought that I would come back again, but they demolished it before I could.
My dad works in title insurance and has connections with real estate that he could use to help me find out who owned it and things about it, which I keep reminding him to do. I have my pictures posted. Carmel, Indiana Old Farm House. There arent many details, because I dont have them yet. The house is gone now, so the pics are all thats really left of it.
Im sorry that I didnt get anymore...
