TMP Warehouse Exploration #2
entry by Mellon_Collie

As soon as I got there I realized I forgot my flashlight, and I cursed myself, and mulled over my options. After a few minutes, I decided that I could easily make my way to the roof and back. It was pretty scary with the pervasive scent of human excrement, and proverbial impenetrable darkness for the first few flights of stairs. It was bright enough I could see holes in the floor on the last floor, so I was grateful for that. Took as few minutes to appreciate the view, and headed back down, which was scarier than going up for some reason. I thought I kept on seeing human figures in the darkness, but there is not enough light to see anything, so I knew my mind was playing tricks on me. After that, I got out, and started walking back towards my car, and then all of the sudden I hear voices, and I look around a little before I see this head pop up from a "hanging roof" over the platform/loading docks. He informed me that he was drunk, and scared, and wanted me to call the cops if he did not come out in 10 minutes (He wanted to come down to talk to me.) He gave me a pair of pliers, which he said were torx tools, so I would not feel threatened, and he continued to reassure me that he was not going to kill me, and that he would understand if I did not trust him, and that he wanted me to wait for him. I was a bit nervous, but I did not feel threatened, or in danger, and I would have felt bad if I had left, so I waited for him. I was surprised to see him able to climb into a window, and sure enough got out okay. He seemed more mentally disturbed than drunk really. For the next few minutes we walked and talk, all the while still reassuring me, which was starting to make me more nervous, instead of more comfortable. He told me his life-story, and predicament, and I sympathized with him. He told me he was stealing copper from the flooded basement from inside the warehouse, which surprised me. He also frequently made mention of how spirits lived in the building, and expounded on various theories about those spirits. This went on for quite a while; perhaps 45 or more minutes, before I said I had to go. I shook his hand, gave him a few dollars, thanked him, left, and was glad to be gone, nice as he was.
