Just the other day Carrie and I went to some old ruins down the road from us. While a brick works may be usually an "urban" location...not this one. It's out in the middle of nowhere. Only 4 of the original kilns and 2 of the stacks remaind. Nature has really taken a hold on this place. I should have a few pics up later today...

I have been checking out a place near me that was suppose to open up as a needle factory I believe but with complications about who owns the land it never opened up. Right now there is a pre school or something that rents out the front part and the back part is rented out for storage by CGC (a large gypsum mine).

This place is two stories with a two story air conditioner in the back of it. The offices and such are not finished and I don't think they will finish them any time soon as it has been built for several years now and they're not done yet.

I haven't gotten into this building yet but I don't think that their security system is up and running, though I could be wrong. Here are some pics I took. (sorry for the poor quality but it was cold and my hand were numb)

That greenish pipe with the water at the bottom is one of two pipes sticking out of the front yard a few meters from the fenced in area where the kids play.

The only place I've been to fairly recently was the power plant that I posted
in the photography thread. Only pics of the outside, tho. Place is like a fortress
with whacked out security people.
