Draining with younger siblings

My younger brother, Seamus (6 years old) has been wanting to go draining since I started, so today I finally took him. It was a 54" (at least according to worker's notes on the walls) tall RCP, which I know to have a good deal of wild life. We saw slugs, a salamander (I've seen about five in there), crickets, huge daddy longlegs, etc. etc. He got pretty scared of the slug but had fun shouting at a dog from under a grate ("Here doggy doggy! Come and get us! We have a treat for you!"). All in all, it was worth it and I think I'll take him draining more often now.
